Who we are

MontClair is a specialist in risk management, non-life insurances, employee benefits, collective pensions and collective health insurance for companies.

With MontClair’s international network, we have expert contacts worldwide. We use these to provide local support to our clients with activities abroad. MontClair is a registered broker (RMiA), affiliated with the Registered Pension Advisers (RPA) and with Adfiz, the sector association for independent financial advisers.

In our actions we are guided by the following values: personal service, proactivity, honesty and expertise. MontClair has anchored these core values in its business operations. MontClair is registered in the public Financial Services Providers register at the AFM under number 1200 8394, this can be accessed via

MontClair has a licence to advise on and broker income insurances, pension insurances, premium pension claims, non-life insurances and health insurances.

How we put your interests first

MontClair is an independent broker and not bound in anyway when giving advice. We have no contractual obligations with providers which could jeopardise this freedom to advise you.

That is not to say that we do business with everyone. Within this latitude, we periodically make a selection of the providers with whom we do business, based on a price/performance ratio.

At your request, we will provide you with a list of the providers with whom we maintain a business relationship and which we include in our consultancy and brokerage activities for you. We are an entirely independent undertaking. No bank, insurer or other provider of financial products has any voting rights or share in our business.

We put the customer's interest centre stage. However, that is not by definition the same as giving a comprehensive advice. Putting the customer's interest centre stage means in the first place thinking about the substance of the service provision and ensuring that this is tailored to your needs and situation. This can be a short and efficient service provision, but also a more extensive service provision if that is in the interest of your organisation. So we make our service provision shorter or longer, more or less detailed and more or less wide in scope, depending on your needs and situation.

Our fees

MontClair receives commission from the insurance companies with whom we arrange insurance for clients. It is remuneration for the work we perform for our clients. We are transparent about the amount of this commission; where applicable, we account for this remuneration to you in full.

For some operations, we charge you a fee or subscription fee. If this is the case, we will always let you know in advance and what amount will be invoiced to you.

On the basis of your specific needs and situation, we will assess what service provision has most added value for you. We will be glad to make transparent and clear agreements about this with you.

MontClair pursues a restrained remuneration policy. We analyse and evaluate each year anew the remuneration policy for all employees, in particular the policy for the management and employees with a commercial position. We safeguard against financial motives having undesired effects on the client interest, which is our priority at all times. As such, we comply with the requirements of the Wft.

How we guarantee your privacy

All data you provide to us are in trusted hands. We use information only for the purpose for which you have provided it to us. We include your data in a database that we have registered with the Data Protection Authority in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

We do not provide confidential data to third parties, unless we have engaged them to provide a particular facility. For example, when applying for or changing an insurance or settling a claim.

How you can submit a complaint

Despite the fact that we make every effort to serve you, it can happen that you may be unsatisfied with our service. In that case, we ask that you let us know directly. You can direct your complaint to the management board of MontClair. We will do our utmost to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible.

If you do not feel we have resolved your complaint to your satisfaction and you are a private individual, you can submit your complaint within 3 months to:

Business clients and private individuals alike can turn to the civil court if they believe their interests have been damaged.

Our General Terms and Conditions apply to our service provision. You will receive these at the start of our service and they are appended to our Business Protocols as appendix.

Dutch law applies to our service provision.
